RELATING TO LABOR AND LABOR RELATIONS - EMPLOYMENT SECURITY

BENEFITS

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Chapter 28-44 of the General Laws entitled "Employment Security -

Benefits" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:

     28-44-24.1. Illegal alien disqualification. – An individual who is not a United States

1-4

Citizen or permanent legal resident shall be disqualified from receiving benefits under chapter 42-

1-5

44 of this bill.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
