A N A C T

RELATING TO CRIMINAL OFFENSES -- FORGERY AND COUNTERFEITING-

FORGERY, COUNTERFEITING, OR ALTERATION OF ALIEN DOCUMENTATION

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Chapter 11-17 of the General Laws entitled "Forgery and Counterfeiting"

is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:

     11-17-14. Forgery and counterfeiting or alteration of alien documentation. – Every

person who shall recklessly, falsely make, alter, forge, or counterfeit or recklessly procure to be

falsely made, altered, forged or counterfeited any documentation pertaining to aliens in the

1-6

United States shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a felony.

     (a) Any person convicted under this section shall be subject to the penalties set forth in

1-8

section 11-17-1.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
