RELATING TO ELECTIONS -- CONDUCT OF ELECTION AND VOTING EQUIPMENT

AND SUPPLIES

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. There shall be submitted to the qualified electors of the state of Rhode

Island at the next general election for their approval the following non-binding referendum

question: "Shall 'straight party master levers' and 'straight party computer ballot marks' and all

programming equipment related thereto, be removed from all voting equipment?"

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.

BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL
