§ 28-14-8 Payment of undisputed amounts in
wage disputes. –
In case of a dispute over wages, the employer shall give written notice to the
employee of the amount of wages that he or she concedes to be due and shall pay
that amount without condition within the time set by this chapter; provided,
that acceptance by the employee of this payment shall not constitute a release
as to the balance of his or her claim.
