A N A C T

RELATING TO LIBRARY FUNDING

     Introduced By: Representatives Dennigan, Lewiss, Malik, Rose, and Church

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of any money in the treasury not otherwise

appropriated for the fiscal year 2006-2007, the sum of two million three hundred thousand dollars

($2,300,000) for Rhode Island Lib Futures to coordinate and consolidate data, and increase

interface capabilities between all library systems, both public and private, to better serve the

1-5

citizens of Rhode Island; and the state controller is hereby authorized and directed to draw his

1-6

orders upon the general treasurer for the payment of said sum, or so much thereof as may be from

1-7

time to time required, upon receipt by him of properly authenticated vouchers.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
