East Bay Economic Initiatives


     The East Bay Economic Initiative was formed in 1993, out of repeal of
the state's sales/use tax on boats, to stimulate the marine industry and
promote economic development.
EBEI endeavors to create good, local jobs for Rhode Islander's, serving
as a model for the rest of the state and the nation.
EBEI is a partnership of organizations and businesses dedicated to
developing jobs and bringing positive national and international attention
to the East Bay region of Rhode Island. Its projects include job training
and placement; job fairs and recruitments; national and international
marketing; informational seminars and fortifying government and business
