MEDIA ADVISORY: Rep. Lancia to host Rhode Island’s first National Prayer Breakfast Thursday
STATE HOUSE — Rep. Robert B. Lancia (R-Dist. 16, Cranston) has scheduled Rhode Island’s first National Prayer Breakfast Thursday.
The event, which is aligned with the National Prayer Breakfast that has taken place on the first Thursday of February in Washington since 1953, will take place at the Olney Street Baptist Church, 100 Olney St., Providence from 7:30 to 9 a.m.
The guest speaker will be the Right Rev. W. Nicholas Knisely Jr., Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island. Since this is the first event of its kind, seating will be by invitation only. Several state leaders, including legislators and general officers have been invited to attend.
