R.I. boy, 9, wants to be president and says Minority Leader Patricia Morgan is one of his political heroes
STATE HOUSE — House Minority Leader Patricia Morgan (R-Dist. 26, Coventry, Warwick, West Warwick) will give a tour to a 9-year-old Coventry boy who attended President Donald J. Trump’s inaugural ceremony and whose dream is to become President one day.
According to Jacob Silva’s mother Sarah Silva, Jacob has had an interest in politics for a long time and was eager to attend the 58th inauguration ceremony in Washington, D.C.
“My husband and I attended along with my mother and our 2 children, Jacob age 9 and Emma age 7. Our experience was amazing beyond words. To witness history and see the peaceful transfer of power first hand was an experience we will never forget. Unlike most children, his passions are politics and history and he smiled from ear to ear and took everything in the entire time we were in D.C.”
Jacob has appeared on Good Morning America and Fox News where he was dubbed ‘Mini Trump’.
Sarah Silva wrote to Minority Leader Patricia Morgan to tell her that her son is also a huge fan of her, as well, and wanted to meet her.
Representative Morgan intends to give Jacob Silva a tour of the Rhode Island State House on Feb. 8 because he has expressed an interest in a career in politics and a desire to meet her to learn more about what she does.
