Media Advisory: Small Business Committee to meet about manufacturing
The House Small Business Committee will meet with representatives of the Rhode Island Manufacturers Association (RIMA) Wednesday to discuss the state of manufacturing.
The meeting is scheduled Wednesday, May 17, at the rise of the House session (around 4:30 p.m.) in Room 101 on the first floor of the State House.
The meeting will focus on legislation to expand and grow the manufacturing industry in Rhode Island.
Expected to participate are David Chenevert, executive director of RIMA and former owner of Swissline Products; John Lombari, president of Rhode Island Carbide Tool Company in Smithfield; and Dan Shedd, president of Taylor Box Company in Bristol.
No public testimony is scheduled.
