MEDIA ADVISORY: House Health, Education and Welfare Committee to meet to tour Rhode Island Department of Health
STATE HOUSE — The House Committee on Health, Education and Welfare is scheduled to meet Tuesday to take a guided tour of the Department of Health.
The committee is scheduled to meet Tuesday, Feb. 27, from 2:30 to 3:50 p.m. at the Rhode Island Department of Health Laboratory, 50 Orms St., Providence.
A guided tour will be given by Nicole E. Alexander-Scott, MD, MPH, the director of the Rhode Island Department of Health. It will include a tour of the laboratory, the Division of Policy, Information and Communications, the Center for Health Data and Analysis, Community and Health Equity, Environmental Health, Customer Service, Preparedness, Response, Infectious Disease, and Emergency Medical Services. The tour will end at the Rhode Island Department of Health, 3 Capitol Hill, in Providence.
The House Committee on Health, Education and Welfare is chaired by Rep. Joseph M. McNamara (D-Dist. 19, Warwick, Cranston).
