Rep. Lancia to Attend Bipartisan NCSL Conference
Representative Robert B. Lancia (R-Dist. 16, Cranston) will be attending the NCSL Legislative Summit taking place July 30th to August 2nd in Los Angeles, CA. The informational sessions will span from strengthening rural communities and training in childhood trauma to a better understanding of the issues our school districts and students face.
Rep. Lancia hopes to achieve positive results from the event, saying: “I am excited to bring home ideas that we can put into action in our state. Rhode Island is badly in need of innovative, creative solutions to our myriad problems. By examining these issues in a bipartisan, solutions-focused environment, I hope to achieve this.”
The NCSL is an opportunity for thousands of legislators from different geographical locations to come together and work toward solutions to common problems across the United States. It is the largest and most important gathering of the year for legislators and legislative staff. The Summit exhibits nationally renowned experts and a wide span of sessions to tackle critical issues facing state legislatures. They study these issues in a bipartisan format, which places importance on ideas forward and leaves partisan debate behind.
“In today’s political climate, it is important to attend these sessions and work towards goals that help states and individuals alike to succeed.” Rep. Lancia is prepared for an “unparalleled learning experience, networking, and inspiration at the 2018 Summit. The goal is to connect with legislative peers and fellow policy innovators.”
