Representative Kenneth A. Marshall

Kenneth A. Marshall (D) has served the residents of Bristol and Warren in District 68 since his election in November 2012. He was named a Deputy Majority Leader in April 2014.

In 2014, he sponsored a new law allowing the creation of Boston Bruins foundation license plates. The prior year, the Assembly passed his legislation to establish a new business development center in the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation. He has sponsored many bills aimed at encouraging economic development and improving corporations and insurance regulations.

He served on the Bristol Town Council from 2006 to 2012, including the last six years as chairman. He was also a member of the town’s Zoning Board from 1995 to 2002.

Born on Jan. 4, 1968, he is a 1986 graduate of Bristol High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Bryant College in 1991.

In addition to his duties as a legislator, Representative Marshall is the general manager of Donovan & Sons Inc., a plumbing and heating company.

Representative Marshall resides in Bristol with his wife, Christine (Stanzione). They are the parents of four children: Anthony, Kenneth, Makenzie and Amanda.
