Cynthia Armour Coyne (Democrat - Dist. 32, Barrington, Bristol, East Providence) was born on November 8, 1961 and is currently a consultant and a Commissioner of CALEA, the Commission on Accrediation for Law Enforcement Agencies.
Coyne is a former Rhode Island State Trooper who rose through the ranks to Lieutenant before retiring in 2006. Prior to her election to the Rhode Island Senate she served on the Barrington Town Council.
A lifelong resident of Rhode Island, she has called the East Bay home for the past 18 years. She is married to Jerry Coyne and has four children: Katie, Patrick, Ian, and Meghan.
Cynthia Armour Coyne was first elected to the Rhode Island Senate on November 4, 2014.
