Mark W. Gee (R-Dist. 35, East Greenwich, North Kingstown, South Kingstown, Narragansett) was born on November 14, 1942. He is the founder and owner of Data Resources, a small business, for nearly four decades.
 
A former U.S. Navy Lieutenant and marketing representative for IBM Corp. Data Processing Division, Gee has previously served as East Greenwich Fire Commissioner and on the East Greenwich Town Council. He is also active in the community, having volunteered for organizations including Norman Bird Sanctuary; Historic Hill PAC; Dorcas Place; East Bay School to Career Partnership Council; East Bay Literacy; East Providence Chamber of Commerce; Power Lunch; East Providence Prevention Coalition; Providence InTown YMCA; East Providence Community Emergency Response Team; East Greenwich Citizens Who Care/Substance Abuse Task Force; and the Main Street Association of East Greenwich.
 
Gee is married to Dana Warren Gee and the couple has three children: Zing, Griffin, and Hope. He also has four older children: Annelisa, Sarah, Alexander, and Christina, as well as seven grandchildren.
 
Mark W. Gee was first elected to the Rhode Island Senate on November 4, 2014.
